Reviewed March 2020 by Chef John Reed, CEC, CCA

Plate IQ is a well-established invoicing system for food vendors no matter the size or capabilities of operations. Plate IQ has strong client support to maintain company safety. Check out all of my product reviews and comparisons here.

Overview

Plate IQ manages invoicing and payment systems for companies through established accounting systems. Plate IQ uses vast interface integration and data checking teams for smooth transactions and easy payment options.

Daily Management

Plate IQ offers four main services: Accounts Payable, Vendor Statements, Bill Pay, and Reporting.

Accounts Payable Plate IQ scans invoices and paperwork for cloud based data entry. Plate IQ can code physical and handwritten paperwork into online forms with a guaranteed 24-hour return on invoices. Hand written notices and invoices are coded and then double-checked by Plate IQ’s data entry team for possible errors in system coding or on the physical paperwork.

Vendor Statements Plate IQ can compare previous statements to new invoices, which can catch errors, missing invoices, or price discrepancies.

Bill Pay With Plate IQ companies can make payments online and skip physical payments and Plate IQ will track booking for balance and upcoming/due payments.

Reporting Plate IQ offers reporting capabilities to track spending and compare pricing differences from each location.

Additional Features

Plate IQ is well established and has a large database for invoicing and has partnerships with almost every ERP and accounting system available.

System Requirement

Plate IQ is cloud based and internet access is required.

Integrations

Plate IQ works with over 80 accounting programs and other vendor/EDI and inventory programs. Plate IQ’s website offers a list of these programs and almost completely guarantees interface integration for any company. If companies use systems outside of Plate IQ’s established relationships, they can make accommodations

On-Boarding

Plate IQ’s data team does all onboarding and data entry through GL coding and cross checking. Plate IQ offers training and support for customers for all issues and guarantees a 12-24 hour return on coded paperwork.

Fee Structure

Plate IQ requires a one time implementing fee and fees per invoice coded with subscription based payment options. As more invoices are sent to Plate IQ the fee per invoice lessens. Additional users and user levels may require extra fees. Additional locations may require additional fees.

Support

Plate IQ offers customer support via phone and email. The support line is available during regular hours including Saturdays. Every account has an account manager from Plate IQ’s team and includes training for users.
